a Bit More About Me
Here’s my quick background. I’m comfortable moving at different speeds and enjoy working with enterprising teams. I’m also afraid of sharks—the animal kind.
For the past 20 years, I’ve built a career as a writer, editor, and researcher across multiple industries and formats. I partner with a select group of clients to develop clear, fact-driven narratives that support strategy and decision-making.
I earned an M.A. in Journalism with a concentration in Business and Economic Reporting from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in 2008 and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Pace University in 2004. I’ve worked across new and traditional media, educational publishing, and corporate marketing for wide audiences.
I focus on new technologies, financial services, real estate, and entrepreneurship. My work increasingly sits at the intersection of innovation, property, and capital.
A young me typing on Long Island in 1988I grew up in Manhasset, Long Island, as an avid reader, runner, music fan, and technology nerd. I later lived in Summit, New Jersey, and Brooklyn, New York. While in college, I spent a year in Tokyo studying Japanese at Sophia University (上智大学) and teaching English.
My family and I now split our time between New York and Aichi, Japan. My work schedule in Asia stays aligned with my clients’ U.S. hours across all meetings and platforms.
I’m politically independent and centrist. I support policies that advance housing, education, and economic opportunity. I push for greater equality, better living standards, and meaningful climate action. I oppose discrimination, misinformation, corruption, and waste. As an independent business owner, I advocate for smart regulations that safeguard consumer well-being and market growth.
These aren’t abstract positions. They inform how I tackle assignments. Read some of my past work below to get a clearer sense of my approach to fact-driven storytelling and business communications.
