Here’s a bit more about me. I enjoy collaborating with enterprising teams. I’m also afraid of sharks—the animal kind.

I’m a seasoned writer, editor, and researcher working across industries on tailored business content. I partner with companies and organizations of all sizes to develop clear, fact-driven narratives that support strategy and decision-making.

I earned an M.A. in Business and Economics Reporting from The Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in 2008 and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Pace University in 2004. Throughout my career I have worked across new and traditional media, educational publishing, and corporate marketing campaigns for wide audiences.

I write and edit articles and reports, shoot photos, and co-produce webinars and podcast videos. My focus spans new technologies, banking and capital markets, commercial real estate, crypto, and entrepreneurship. The common thread is the intersection of tech, finance, and property.

Young Damian in Manhasset, Long Island in 1988

I grew up in Manhasset, Long Island, as an avid reader, runner, music fan, and technology nerd. I later lived in Summit, New Jersey, and Brooklyn, New York, and spent a year in Tokyo studying Japanese at Sophia University (上智大学) and teaching English while in college.

My wife, son, and I reside in Queens during the fall, winter, and spring, and spend our summers in Aichi, Japan. My work hours in Japan sync with my clients’ hours in the U.S. across all meetings and platforms.

I am politically independent and largely centrist. I support affordable housing, educational development, economic empowerment, and effective climate action in the U.S. and abroad. I believe in pushing toward greater equality, healthier living standards, and a deeper appreciation for other cultures globally.

I’m a vocal opponent of discrimination, misinformation, corruption, and waste. As an independent business owner, I’m an advocate of clean capitalism and smart regulations that support market growth and consumer well-being.

Read some of my past work below to get a clearer sense of my approach to fact-driven business writing, editing, and audience engagement.
